You will be working in a Manchester PRU that provides an alternative provision to learners aged 5-11 with SEMH, ADHD, ASD, MLD and SpLD. To be successful in this SEMH Learning Support role, you will need to have:- Experience working with young people with social, emotional and mental health issues- A calm and positive attitude- Excellent behaviour management with knowledge of various de-escalation techniques- A Flexible approach- Good numeracy, literacy and communication skills- Be able to build strong relationships with both students and staff- Experience of implementing specific learning strategies and routines- Team Teach highly desirableIdeal candidates will:· Be able to work using your initiative and follow direction when needed.· Have prior experience of working with children with SEMH.· Have the ability to build strong relationships with both students and staff.· Have experience of implementing specific learning strategies and routines.· Be a professional practitioner, with a will to attain the highest standard in teaching and learning.
