Teaching Assistant l Rochdale

A primary special school in Rochdale is seeking a Teaching Assistant on a long term, full time basis this term to start as soon as possible.

The school is based in Rochdale, and caters for learners aged 3-11 with complex learning needs and difficulties.

We are seeking a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about creating meaningful learning opportunities for pupils with additional needs and is experienced working within a specialist environment. You will be creative, and able to motivate pupils to engage with learning activities - including sensory and play based activities.

To be successful in this Teaching Assistant role you will need;· Experience working with young people with SEND· A calm and positive attitude· Excellent behaviour management with knowledge of various de-escalation techniques· A Flexible approach· Good numeracy, literacy and communication skills· Be able to build strong relationships with both students and staff· Experience of providing personal care and feeding
