Full-time, Long-term contract - Aug 2020 startAre you looking for a new role?Are you passionate about helping students with special educational needs?Are you experienced working with young people with autism?Celsian education are looking to recruit Teaching Assistants specialising in Autism to support in mainstream schools in Leicester.The role will involve working on a one to one basis / small groups with pupils who require additional support and who may have learning difficulties. You will be supporting students across a range of activities and lessons pre-set by the class teacher but may need to adapt these to suit the individual needs of the child; you will need to be pro-active and flexible. Structure and routine are important for these pupils and you will need to be patient. These positions are specifically for TA's that have experience dealing with pupils with autism.

To be successful you will need;· Relevant Qualifications level 2 or equivalent· Previous classroom experience· Experience working with SEND; specifically, autism· Strong behaviour management with patience· Good literacy, numeracy and communication skills· A positive attitude and flexible approach· Team Teach or similar de-escalation training (beneficial)If this is the job for you then please apply now.0116 2776400
