Youth Worker - Pupil Referral Unit - Bradford
Celsian Education are working with a successful Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) based in Bradford who are looking for positive Youth Workers to start in September for at least a term with the view of then becoming permanent.

This rewarding Youth Worker role will involve leading taught sessions to small groups of students, providing internal cover, supporting pupils on a one to one basis and assisting class teachers. You will be working across a few sites so a full UK drivers license and access to a car will be essential.
The PRU caters for at risk students who have been excluded from mainstream education for a variety of different reasons. They focus on helping young people to develop both academically and socially, with the aim to integrate them back into school where possible and help overcome barriers to learning.
The young people come from a variety of different backgrounds and have Social and Emotional barriers, we are looking for someone who has a background in social work or support work and can build trusting relationships and really make an impact.
To be successful in this Youth Worker role you will need;
· Experience supporting young people in a PRU type setting or with SEMH
· Strong behaviour management skills
· Excellent communication skills
· Good knowledge of numeracy and literacy
· A flexible approach and positive attitude

This is a full-time role, but there may be opportunities for a part time placement for an outstanding candidate. The role will begin in September 2020, initially until the Christmas break with the opportunity to then go onto a permanent contract.
