Celsian Education are seeking to appoint a part time Specialised Teaching Assistant from September 2020 to support a named child in KS2. We are looking for someone who is organised, enjoys working with challenging children and is able to motivate and foster independence. The successful candidate must have an understanding of attachment disorder and be able to nurture and enable individuals to be fully included within the class whilst using their own initiative to be able to make adaptations for the individual. Alongside the class teacher the successful candidate should strive to give the child every opportunity to thrive and to meet their potential. Experience of working with KS2 aged children along with working with children who have complex social and emotional needs is essential. The school is a good school and Ofsted recognised that staff work tirelessly to support the high number of pupils whose home circumstances may make them vulnerable. You invest many resources into making sure that this group of pupils emotional and social needs are met. This is something the school are very proud of and the successful applicant will demonstrate that they understand our ethos and approach to supporting children. In return they offer a warm, caring atmosphere in which to work with friendly, enthusiastic children and an experienced, dedicated and supportive staff. Due to this post having access to children and/or vulnerable adults, candidates will be required to undertake a Criminal Record Check. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post, as all cases are judged individually according to the nature of the role and information provided. Closing date: Sunday 19th June 2020
