SEN Classroom Support Workers Leeds - Full Time - Special Needs Learning Support

At Celsian Education we are currently working in partnership with a specialist setting in Leeds who require additional staffing from September to help to support their students who have a variety of different Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

You will be working as a support/care worker for the SEN students within the school. We are looking for people who come from a care background and have experience supporting young people within a range of needs including challenging behaviour.

The role itself will be supporting students with care and their education within a classroom setting, you will work 1:1 as well as in small groups with children and other support staff. Supporting the delivery of all lessons and helping to engage students in learning as well as building strong, meaningful relationships.

Experience working with children and young people with Autism, Complex Needs, SEMH, Downs Syndrome and other SEND is essential.

Relevant qualifications such as Team Teach, Makaton, PECs and Moving and Handling would be beneficial.

Specifics:

- Pay will be between £10 and £12 per hour

- Working hours are Monday to Friday 8:30 - 15:30 (term time only)

- These are full time roles with the view of going on to being permanent

- Relevant training and CPD can be provided.

- All candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check, up to date references and relevant safeguarding training.
