The school are looking for devoted and passionate teaching assistants who have experience supporting young people with SEN, although not necessarily in a school environment. You should be willing to get involved in all aspects of pupils care and progress, be able to work under pressure and have good communication and interpersonal skills.

The Role

The successful candidate will work under the guidance of specialist teaching staff. Responsibilities will include:

· To support students both within the class and during unstructured situations· To support the teaching and therapy staff to maintain detailed case notes of all children and young people.· To participate in supervision and support as required.· To act as a resource and support for other staff members working with the children· To make and prepare resources for teaching and therapy staff

This specialist school is for pupils aged 4-19 years, has an integrated approach towards developing the potential and independence of our pupils with moderate to severe and profound learning difficulties. As well as core learning, the school focuses on helping pupils to explore and learn new things, provides support for finding work and living independently and helping those with learning disabilities to lead the life they want.
