A Specialist School for pupils with varying SEN needs in North Leeds, are seeking a Humanities Teacher to join their team on a long-term basis from September!

If you have a Humanities Specialism and experience teaching students with Special Educational Needs, this could be a fantastic opportunity for you!

This position is a long-term role that will last for the rest of the academic year. The specialist school is based in Leeds and is easily accessible via public transport. The school also has parking spaces that are available to all staff.

The role will include:

- Teaching Humanities up to GCSE level

- Using a range of different learning resources and equipment, ensuring that all students needs are catered for.

- Managing pupil behaviour in the classroom and on school premises

- Communicating with parents and carers over pupil's progress

The successful candidate must have:

- Qualified Teacher Status / QTLS

- Recent experience of teaching students with SEND

- Eligibility to work in the UK

- A specialism in History or Geography

- Full understanding of the humanities curriculum

We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with students who have SEND and is dedicated to delivering engaging and inclusive learning. Successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and relevant safeguarding training.
