Celsian Education are looking to recruit a qualified teaching assistant who has experience of supporting children whose first language is not English. The role will start Mid-September and will be on a long term temporary basis to continue until at least Christmas and possibly the end of the academic year.
As an EAL Teaching Assistant, you will be providing support on a 121 or small group basis to help raise the attainment levels of Bangla speaking pupils, to help in particular with, written and spoken English as well as reading.
It is essential that you have recent experience of working as a teaching assistant in a UK primary school and have a relevant and recognised qualification to level 3 in childcare. To proceed with the application, Celsian will need to obtain at least 2 references to cover the last 2 years, at least 1 being from an educational or childcare setting. You will also be required to hold an enhanced level DBS that is on the update service or, be willing to obtain a new one through Celsian Education and be eligible to work in the UK.
