HLTA I KS2 I Tameside I September
Are you a level 4 teaching assistant or hold a HLTA qualification? Are you available for work as soon as possible? Are you passionate about raising attainment in literacy and numeracy? Do you have recent experience working as a HLTA in Key Stage 2?
Celsian Education are working alongside a primary school in Tameside to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work across all year groups in the key stage 2 department. This role will start in September.
The ideal candidate will either hold HLTA status, or, have a level 4 teaching assistant qualification or could perhaps be a Newly Qualified Teacher. It is essential that you have recent experience of working in key stage 2 classes in a UK school. You must be flexible, reliable and passionate as you will be expected to move across each class of the key stage 2 department.
This role is a part time role and will be for 3 days per week (Wednesday Thursday and Friday) and is to start in September.
The School have specifically asked for someone with strong communication skills and previous experience of covering PPA, sickness and courses.
To be considered for this role, you will be required to:-
- Hold a relevant Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification (HLTA) or a Teaching qualification with QTS
- Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
- Have recent experience of working in a similar role
- Be confident to work across all key stage 2 year groups
- Be able to provide two suitable references covering the last 2 years, at least 1 being from an educational establishment
- Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one
