Secondary SEN Support Specialist Provision Wakefield Full Time

We are currently searching for an experienced and innovative SEND teaching assistant to work within a Specialist Autism Provision in Wakefield.

The provision is attached to a mainstream secondary school and your role will be working across both, supporting the students within the provision and helping them to integrate into mainstream lessons providing the academic and emotional support they need.

You will be working on a 1:1 basis a lot of the time, helping to inspire and engage the students through methods that cater to their needs, therefore we are looking for adaptable, forward thinking support assistants who have a wider understanding of the autistic spectrum.

The students within this provision are working at a high level so good knowledge of the Secondary curriculum is essential. Relevant qualifications would be advantageous.
