Behaviour Support Worker - Autism Support Learning Support - Leeds - Full Time

We are currently recruiting for a strong, experienced Behaviour Support Worker to work in a Special School in North Leeds. You will be working with students with Special Educational Needs such as Autism and SEMH, so you will need to be confident in managing challenging behaviours and able to de-escalate and diffuse situations effectively.

The ideal candidate will have Team Teach training and have experience using these de-escalation techniques, however we do offer the training so strong candidates without the qualification are welcome to still apply.

This is a full-time role set to begin in September 2020. You will be doing 1:1 intervention with key children as well as working in small groups. We are looking for someone who is really passionate about working with children and young people with SEND and helping in overcoming barriers in communication.

Role Specifics:

- Full time hours, Monday to Friday 8:30-15:30.- Pay £10 - £12 per hour- The role is within a Special School in the North of Leeds, catering for students with varying Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and up to date references.
