Are you looking for a new and rewarding role supporting children with Special Educational needs in a caring and highly inclusive school?

This SEN Teaching Assistant post is for those with experience working with children to support a child 1:1 in the classroom. The child you will be working has autism and requires extra support in class and around the school in social environments. The child needs support with behaviour and communication, often getting frustrated with activities and finding ways to communicate. Experience using aids for non-verbal students such as PECS and Makaton would be preferred but the training can be provided.

The school is dedicated to supporting staff to ensure they always feel valued and supported. You will have access to some of the most incredible resources, visual and sensory to encourage the child.

Team Teach training would also be preferred but can be provided.

The ideal candidate would be calm, patient and empathetic, able to be nurturing and contribute to the students development. This is a long-tern role due to start as soon as possible. Candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and relevant safeguarding training.
