At Celsian Education we are currently recruiting for an experienced Teaching Assistant to work alongside a student with additional needs within a Specialist School. The school, situated in Leeds, caters for students aged 3-19 years with special educational needs and require a 1:1 learning support assistant to work with a child with complex needs.

We are looking for someone with a background of working with children and young people with additional needs and who can effectively build trusting relationships. The student you will be working with has Autism and needs support throughout the school day. The ideal candidate will be able to engage the student in learning and help to tailor lessons and activities to their needs and interests.

We need someone who is passionate about working with individuals who have SEND and someone who can commit to this role as the student requires stability.

Role specifics:

- This is a full-time role due to begin as soon as possible.

- The working hours are 8:30 to 15:30 Monday to Friday

- The school is in North Leeds, it is an Outstanding SEN School with excellent resources.

- You will be joining part of an extremely dedicated and welcoming team.

- Makaton, PECs and Team Teach qualifications would be beneficial.
