Special Needs Teaching Assistant - Makaton Training - Birmingham
Are you an experienced teaching assistant that has worked with pupils who have Autism and is Makaton trained? I have the perfect opportunity for you.!
I am currently working with a wonderful school based in Birmingham that works with young people who have a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC), they are searching for a special needs teaching assistant to join their team.
This is a full-time role from Monday-Friday (8:30am-4:00pm). There are local public transport links and a very generous car park available on site.
This is an all age special school and they work with pupils from nursery age all the way through to year eight. Within the school they have two sensory rooms, an amazing therapy room and they have a forest school available on site.
What you need:
- 1 years' experience working with pupils with additional needs (mainstream or special schools)
- Makaton Trained
- NVQ Level 3 is desirable but not necessary
- Experience working with Autism.
