SEN Teaching Assistant 1:1 Autism

We are looking for a passionate support assistant to join a welcoming specialist autism provision as a SEN Teaching Assistant, working 1:1 and with small groups of children with Autism.

Have you recently graduated in a Psychology based degree and looking to build your paid experience before a career in teaching or educational psychology?

SEN Teaching Assistant -- Benefits

· Weekly pay - between £65 and £70 per day.

· Free CPD courses to enhance your skillset and knowledge including: Team Teach, Makaton, PECs, Autism Awareness and Behaviour Management.

· Support from your dedicated consultant throughout

· Monday-Friday - 08:30 to 15:30.

SEN Teaching assistant - Person Specification

· A degree in an education or psychology related field.

· Experience working with children with special educational needs, not necessarily in a school

· Knowledge of SEN/Previous experience supporting children with additional needs

· Enthusiasm, passion and a drive to make a difference!

SEN Teaching Assistant -- The Role

You will be working within a specialist provision for children with Autism at a successful mainstream school. An interest in Autism is essential and volunteer placements with primary aged children with special needs would be beneficial.

The role will involve working 1:1 and in small groups with students with Autism, both within the specialist provision and mainstream school.

The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and must be able to provide relevant and up to date references.
