Special Needs Teaching Assistant - SEN TA Autism/ASD/Team Teach/SEN Bradford

At Celsian Education we are currently looking for experienced teaching assistants to work in a welcoming and supportive Special Needs School in Bradford. You must have had some previous experience of working with vulnerable children and young people and be confident in managing challenging behaviours.

The school supports students from Early Years to Post 16 so confidence to work across the age groups is essential. You will be working as a classroom teaching assistant, under the supervision and guidance of the Class Teacher but you will also be doing 1:1 intervention with students who require additional support. Some of the students will be non-verbal so experience using communication aids such as PECS would be beneficial, but training can be provided.

We are looking for committed and nurturing teaching assistants who are willing to put in the time and build trusting relationships with the students, contributing to their learning and progression.

You must have Team Teach training to be considered for this role, but this is training that we can provide.

These are full time roles due to begin as soon as possible; the working hours are 08:30 until 15:30 Monday to Friday. Pay will vary dependent on qualifications and experience but will be between £65 and £70 per day.

If you feel that you can really make a difference and have something to contribute, please apply now or contact us in branch.
