Celsian Education are looking to recruit a qualified teaching assistant to at least level 2 in childcare who has experience of supporting children whose first language is not English. The role will start as soon as possible and will be on an on-going basis until at least Christmas.
As an EAL Teaching Assistant, you will be providing support to a small group of children to help raise the attainment levels of EAL children, to help, in particular with, written and spoken English as well as reading.It is essential that you have at least 2 terms recent experience of working as a teaching assistant in a UK primary school and have a relevant and recognised qualification to level 2 or above in childcare. To proceed with the application, Celsian will need to obtain at least 2 references to cover the last 2 years, at least 1 reference will need to be from an educational or childcare setting. You will also be required to hold an enhanced level DBS that is on the update service or, be willing to obtain a new one through Celsian Education and be eligible to work in the UK.
