ASD teaching Assistant I January start I Full time I Central Manchester Are you an experienced teaching assistant with experience working with ASD children? Are you dedicated to raising the attainment levels in numeracy & literacy? Due to the CoronaVirus pandemic, children and young people have been out of school for over 4 months, changes to routine and lack of interaction with children their own age has hugely impacted a lot of themThe role has an immediate start and is likely to continue for the full school year and will involve working on a 1:1 basis with a year 3 child with profound, low-ability autism. Given the nature of this role, previous experience with ASD children is essential.The ideal candidate will: · Have a working knowledge of autism.· Have a recognised childcare qualification such as a Cache or NVQ· Have experience supporting and developing a child with autism.Whilst all of the above are not essential, having these skills will be extremely advantageous in securing this placement.
