Teacher of the Deaf - Birmingham

Celsian Education are proud to be working with a school for the deaf based in Birmingham, they are on the search for a teacher of the Deaf to join their team until the end of the academic year.

You will be teaching pupils with hearing difficulties; therefore, a British Sign Language (BSL) qualification is desirable but not essential.

You will be required to:

  • Support hearing impaired children access the curriculum.
  • Plan, resource and deliver engaging lessons for pupils with different abilities and ages.
  • Set and work towards learning targets.

This is a lovely and vibrate school with mixed gender and mixed abilities.

You must have the following:

  • Relevant teacher of the Deaf certificate or 3 plus years teaching those with hearing impairments
  • Hold a valid Qualified Teacher Status
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one.
  • Experience working with pupils who have hearing impairments

This is a temporary position.
