SEN Teaching Assistants
Celsian Education are proud to say we are working with a lovely special school based in North-Birmingham who cater for pupils who have a statement of special educational needs or an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP). They support pupils with physical difficulties, severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties, autistic spectrum condition, specific communication difficulties, visual impairment, hearing impairment and multisensory impairment.
We would love to hear from enthusiastic and experience special needs teaching assistants who have worked with the needs this special school caters for. There are a range of roles available on this site including long-term and day-to-day roles catering to your preference. You will be working full days from 8:30am-3:30pm.
There is generous parking on site and many local public transport links within walking distance of the school.
What we are looking for:
- Minimum of one years' experience working with any of the following needs; Physical Disabilities, SLD, PMLD, Autism, Specific Communication Difficulties, VI, HI or Multisensory Impairment.
- DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one
- Level 3 NVQ is preferred but not necessary
- Makaton or PECs training is advantageous
