Behaviour Support Assistant - Worcestershire

I am currently recruiting for a lovely special school based in Bromsgrove who are on the search for a behaviour support assistant to join their team on a long-term basis after half-term. You will be working with primary aged pupils on both a one-to-one and small group basis during timetabled lessons and outside classes.

The pupils you will be working with have strong challenging behaviour and social, emotional and mental health, therefore the right candidate must have worked with these needs previously and have strong behaviour management skills.

If successful you will be working on a full-time basis, Monday-Friday from 8:30am-3:30pm until the end of the academic year with potential to go permanent.

What you need:

  • Relevant teaching assistant / behaviour management training is preferred but not required
  • Experience working with strong challenging behaviour or SEMH
  • Experience working with schools for 6-12 months+
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one
