Special Needs Teaching Assistants Required in Leeds

At Celsian Education we are currently working with a Special School based in Leeds who currently require additional teaching assistants to join their dedicated team. These are full time roles due to begin as soon as possible.

You will be working with students with a variety of different needs such as Autism, Global Delay, ADHD, Downs Syndrome and physical and medical needs. Therefore, we are looking for people who are adaptable and able to create a calm and positive environment for all students, ensuring inclusivity and tailoring lessons and activities to individual needs.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting students with SEND whether in an educational or residential setting. You will be working with students who are non-verbal so experience using PECS or Makaton would be beneficial, but training can be provided.

Role Specifics:

· This is a full-time role; Monday to Friday 08:30am - 15:30pm (term time only).

· You will be working in a Specialist setting for students with varying Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

· The school is situated in North Leeds, easily accessible by car or public transport.

· You will be required to do some 1:1 work with students who require more focused support.

· The pay is between £65 and £70 per day.

Relevant childcare qualifications would be desirable, but experience is essential.
