KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant

Celsian Education are currently recruiting for a KS1 1:1 SEND teaching assistant role to start as soon as possible.

You will be working in a lovely mainstream primary school in Birmingham within the SEN resource base. This is a full-time, classroom-based position until the end of the academic year with potential to stay on longer.

You will be supporting a KS1 child who has Autism and additional needs. You will be required to follow the lesson plans and targets set out by the class teacher and SENCO. Great communication skills are needed as you will be working closely with the teacher and having daily updates.

Prior experience working as a teaching assistant with pupils who have Autism is a key skill needed.

What you will need:

  • Level 3 qualification
  • 1:1 experience
  • DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one

This is a temporary position.
