Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Celsian Education are working on behalf of a special school based in Shrewsbury to recruit a HTLA for a long-term position starting in January 2021!

The school are looking for a HTLA who can deliver regular intervention and cover class in absence of the class teacher. They are looking for someone who has good subject knowledge and has previous experience in this role. You must be confident in your delivery of the subjects and be able to differentiate lesson plans, mark work and give appropriate feedback to assist with pupil's development.

You will be working with secondary aged pupils with ADHD, Autism and Challenging Behaviour. Experience working with these needs are important. You will have support within the classroom.

This position is to start in January 2021 until July 2021 with the potential to be extended.

To be put forward for this role you must have the following:

  • Relevant teaching qualification + QTS
  • Experience working with pupils who have special educational needs
  • Have an enhanced DBS on the update service or wiling to obtain one
