Celsian Education are currently recruiting Science Technicians to work within secondary schools in the Birmingham and surrounding areas.
We work with a wide variety of Secondary Schools and Colleges in and around the West Midlands area with regular teaching roles available throughout Birmingham / Solihull / Dudley / Sandwell / Walsall / Wolverhampton / Staffordshire / Worcestershire / Shropshire areas.
As a science technician, you will be required to work as part of a team and report to the Senior Science Technician. Your duties will include preparation of stock solutions and maintaining glassware in classrooms, preparing practical lessons prior to lessons and delivering to the classrooms, general up-keep of Science Technician laboratory, carrying out regular health and safety checks on laboratories, preparation rooms and stores and provide technical support and health and safety advice to staff and students, assisting the administration team with ensuring all pupil data is kept up to date, implementing procedures and regulations involving safe disposal of waste material
Applicants must have:
Previous experience of working as a science technician within a school setting. Applicants must be able to provide satisfactory references to cover the last 2 years of employment history and hold a valid enhanced DBS check.
