SEN Early Years Teaching Assistant - Complex Needs - Full Time from January Are you experienced working with students with Special Educational Needs?

At Celsian Education we are recruiting for a teaching assistant to work within a Specialist Setting in Leeds. You will be working with students with complex learning needs, such as autism who require additional support in the classroom. Experience working with non-verbal students and using communication tools such as PECs and Makaton would be extremely beneficial.

The school caters for students aged 3-18 years old and you will be working with students of a variety of ages who are working at an EYFS level. Early Years qualifications such as CACHE would be extremely beneficial but a greater understanding of the EYFS curriculum is essential.

The ideal candidate will be patient, nurturing and able to commit to ensuring that the children receive high standards of care and are engaged in learning. This is a full time role due to begin in January, it is ongoing with the view of going onto a permanent contract with the school.

· You must be able to work full time, Monday to Friday 8:30-15:30

· Qualifications related to early years would be beneficial but experience supporting SEND students is essential

· You must be confident in managing challenging behaviours and supporting non-verbal students

· Pay is between £65 and £70 per day

· The school is located in a central location of Leeds, easily accessible by car or public transport.
