Learning Support Assistant - Bolton
A secondary special school is seeking a Learning Support Assistant on a long term, full time basis to start as soon as the schools re-open.
The school is based Bolton, and caters for learners aged 11-19 with severe and complex learning needs and difficulties including Autism.
All pupils are assessed according to their individual Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), enabling staff to plan work that is personalised and targeted to best meet pupils needs. All plans are reviewed regularly and updated to monitor progress.
We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant who is passionate about creating meaningful learning opportunities for pupils with additional needs and is experienced working within a specialist environment. You will be creative, and able to motivate pupils to engage with learning activities - including sensory and play based activities.
We would love to hear from you if have experience with using Intensive Interaction, PECs and TEACCH principles or if you have personal experience supporting individuals with Special Educational Needs.
