Special Needs Teacher - Birmingham
Celsian Education are recruiting! We are currently working with a lovely special school based in Birmingham who are on the search for a dedicated Science Teacher. This role is suitable for an NQT or an experience teacher, paying up to £140 per day, depending on experience.
This role will involve the delivery of Science lessons to both KS3 and KS4 students who have moderate to complex learning difficulties. You will need to be a confident with the curriculum and be able to tailor work to suit the individual needs within the class. The class will have up to 12 pupils in there with around 2-3 experienced support staff.
You will be expected to plan lessons and mark completed work; the ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the curriculum in addition to SEND frameworks.
Celsian are working with a special school based in Birmingham which caters for students from 11-16 years old who have moderate learning difficulties (MLD). This school is extremely welcoming and friendly, previous support staff have explained it displays high level of expectation for students and staff. They also provide amazing support to all staff who join on a temporary basis.
This school is based in North Birmingham, will local public transport links and generous parking available on site.
To be put forward for this role you must have the following:
- Hold QTS Status or QTLS
- Experience working with pupils who have special educational needs
- Have an enhanced DBS on the update service or wiling to obtain one
