Are you an experienced SEN teaching assistant looking for a new challenge? I am currently recruiting for a Primary school based in Birmingham that are seeking to appoint a new teaching assistant to join their team. The positions are on a long-term basis with a view to go permanent for the right person. The school are seeking Level 3 qualified teaching assistants with experience working with SEN children. As a teaching assistant you will be working alongside the class teacher and supporting pupils with everyday school life. You will be a source of support for pupils and will ensure they are motivated, happy and engaged.

The school provides specialist support for learners. You will be working with a caring and experienced team who are committed to meeting the individual needs of every child and to creating a happy, safe and secure environment. The role of the TA requires you to work 1:1 and or intervention with EYFS children

  • A flexible approach to teaching
  • PECS is desirable
  • Good numeracy, literacy and communication skills
  • Able to build strong relationships with both students and staff.
  • Experience of implementing specific learning strategies and routes.
