About the Role:
You will be supporting a class of up to 7 students under the guidance of the class teacher and a team of other specialist and dedicated teaching assistants You will be supporting in managing pupil behaviour and deescalating situations You will be supporting students with varying complex needs, including Autism and ADHD.
About the school:
This school has great accessible facilities including a sensory room and a music room, as well as a team of hydrotherapy nurses on site This school is for students aged 3-19 with profound, severe, and complex needs including sensory difficulties, some students will be non-verbal therefore experience using communication tools such as PECs and Makaton would be beneficial The school has a provision of speech therapy communication targets for all pupils
You must have experience working with vulnerable children and young people You must be comfortable with assisting with personal care when needed We are looking for a caring and nurturing person who is passionate about helping students with additional learning needs.
