Level 3 Teaching Assistant

Celsian Education are looking for a level 3 qualified teaching assistant for a school in South Birmingham. This role is a full-time, long-term position until the end of the academic year.

The successful candidate will be supporting a KS1 class. You will be supporting SEN pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis, the needs within the class are: ADHD, Autism and Challenging Behaviour. Experience working with these needs is crucial.

You will need to have strong communication skills and build a strong relationship with the class teacher. You will be required to have regular check ins with the teacher to discuss targets and the progress of the students.

You will need:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Education
  • 1 years' experience working within mainstream or special schools
  • Experience working with KS1 pupils
  • Experience working with ADHD, Autism or Challenging Behaviour
  • The ability to motivate and inspire pupils to achieve their targets
