Secondary Teacher - Part - Time

Celsian are working with an 'outstanding' special school based in Erdington who are looking for a part-time secondary teacher to join their team on a long-term basis in April 2021.

This position is to work 2 days a week in their secondary department; you will be required to work with pupils who have Autism and can occasionally have Challenging Behaviour. You will be required to do your own planning but will have allocated time during your day to complete this. The school offers amazing support to its staff and you will have 2 experienced and trained teaching assistants with you in all classes.

This special school are looking for a committed teacher with ASC experience to be a part of their team to plan, develop and enhance our secondary provision as it grows. The right candidate will have experience of working with pupils with ASC and will have specific subject knowledge in teaching GCSE level programs of work.

What you need:

  • Specific subject knowledge in GCSE level programs of work
  • Experience working with ASC pupils
  • Experience working with secondary aged pupils
  • QTS or Equivalent
  • Have a valid DBS or willing to obtain one
