Celsian Education are working with a secondary special school and college in Trafford who are looking for positive and pro-active Teaching Assistants.
This full time position is to start from Easter and the school is always looking to offer permanent contracts to successful candidates.
This developing special school caters for young people aged 11 to 25 with a range of SEND and complex needs including; Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), physical disabilities, Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). This welcoming school aims to help all young people to reach their full potential as confident and independent individuals. The supportive staff team provide a bespoke curriculum within a happy and safe environment, making this the ideal opportunity for an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant.
This position is specifically for a candidate that has experience dealing with pupils who have additional needs that can lead to challenging behaviour.
To be successful in this Teaching Assistant role you will need;- Experience working with young people with SEND and complex needs- A flexible approach and positive attitude- Excellent behaviour management- Good numeracy, literacy and communication skills
