Teaching Assistant I Rochdale I Summer Term
Do you have recent experience working as a teaching assistant in a UK primary school? Are you looking for work in a primary school from after Easter? Are you passionate about raising attainment in literacy & numeracy?
Celsian Education are working with a primary school on the outskirts of Rochdale who are looking for an experienced teaching assistant to join their team in key stage 2 from Easter until the end of the academic year.
It is essential that candidates have recent experience working in a UK primary school, ideally in key stage 2 and if possible, you will have supported pupils with additional needs on a 121 basis or in small intervention groups.
Applicants must be enthusiastic, efficient and inspiring, as well as being committed to their own professional development, whilst being an exceptional practitioner in all other aspects of the role.
To be considered for this particular role you must:
Hold Cache or NVQ Level 3 or 4 in childcare (or equivalent)
Hold a current enhanced DBS that is on the update service (or be happy to apply for a new one through Celsian).
Have the ability to build a positive rapport quickly with pupils and have strong skills in behaviour management.
Have experience working on a one to one basis and also with the whole class or, experienced in supporting Special Educational Needs pupils would be highly beneficial.
