Are you seeking a future career in teaching? Celsian Education are looking to recruit a Cover Supervisor for an East Birmingham based Secondary School. This is a full time role to start ASAP on a temporary basis for one term initially although this could be extended further.
You will be working within an over-subscribed, Good Ofsted rated secondary school that offers a broad and balanced curriculum through each stage of education. You will be joining a friendly and supportive staff team within a school that has a real sense of community where collaboration and sharing ideas and best practices is promoted.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be required to cover short-term absence of a teacher on a day by day basis and regular full time or part-time work to suit is available. You will be required to delivering high-quality pre-planned lessons and to manage behaviour within the classroom to ensuring pupils remain on task with the work they have been set. You will be covering an absent teacher at short notice, so flexibility and commitment is essential.
Must hold a minimum degree level qualification
Have excellent literacy, numeracy, and ICT skills
Excellent communication skills
Are enthusiastic, professional, reliable, and flexible
Have a strong desire to inspire and support young people
Previous experience of working with similar age groups would be beneficial but not essential
