We are looking for great Cover Supervisors to add to our Cover team to help out in local secondary schools in Leeds. The crux of the role is to cover for the usual class teacher of the school whilst they are off either on a foreseen or unforeseen absence. For this reason, the jobs may happen at very short notice, so you would have to have the flexibility to handle this.
worry about having to plan any lessons and mark work - this will all be done for you by the school. Your main aim will be to be present in the classroom, and to do all you can to keep students on task and complete as much of the pre-set work as you can.
Ideally you will have some experience of working with secondary aged children - whether that's paid or voluntary. You might already have some experience working as a Teaching Assistant, youth worker or a Sport Coach and be looking to broaden your experience. You must be able to set a positive example to children, and to be professional at all times.
Its not a role to be taken lightly - it will be challenging, but a very exciting and rewarding one. They are suitable positions for those looking to start a career in teaching.
