We are looking for a Social Science Teacher who is interested in joining our supply teaching team from September 2021. Ideally you will be looking for long term supply.

Leading by example, working closely with colleagues to plan the school's work and with parents to ensure a supportive learning environment both at home and at school, you will be helping to shape a pupil's knowledge and build on their unique personality and skills.

Qualifications/Licences/Certifications

Essential

  • 5 GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C), or equivalent, including English, Maths and Science.
  • An Undergraduate Education Degree in Social Sciences or subject knowledge enhancement (SKE) course if your degree is in an area that is not directly relevant to this subject and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or Professional Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE - Scotland).
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

and

  • Previous secondary school teaching experience.
  • Great English language and Mathematical skills.
  • Fluent level of English, both spoken and written.
