Learning Support Assistant
Start date: 7th June 2021
Pay: £65 - £85 per day
Celsian Education are working with a large secondary school in Manchester who are looking for enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants (LSA) to work with a number of pupils who need additional support.

The role of a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) will require you to work on a one to one basis and small groups of pupils. You will work closely with the class teachers to help promote positive behaviour and ensure the young person has access to learning, whilst also being involved in raising attainment for the pupil.
This thriving secondary school aims to provide high quality education for all young people while also developing life skills. They have modern facilities within a diverse environment, making this the ideal opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming staff team.
This position is specifically for someone that has experience working with pupils either in a mainstream or SEND setting who have additional needs.
To be successful in this Learning Support Assistant role you will need:
- Experience of working with young people
- A calm and positive attitude
- Good knowledge/interest and experience working with SEMH
- Excellent behaviour management with knowledge of various de-escalation techniques
- Good numeracy, literacy and communication skills
