Are you a dedicated practitioner with prior classroom experience working as a TA, LSA or Learning Mentor?Have you gained experience within the special needs sector...
I am currently seeking between 2 - 3 experienced Behaviour/Learning Mentors to join an already exciting new team at a school based in Walsall.
The position you would be applying for is to work with students on a 1:1 basis, supporting them through their Education and ensuring levels of behaviour are kept to a minimum. You must be able to channel any negative energy into something positive and more creative to engage the students. The first role with an immediate start is working 1:1. The other 2 positions are yet to have a confirmed start date, however we will know when a candidate is ideal for the position.
Of course your behaviour management needs to be second to none, as some students may be slightly aggressive at times. This however can easily be combated by someone who can relate or get onto the students levels to actually establish their overall needs.
Before applying you MUST hit the criteria below:
- Hold an Enhanced DBS dated within the last year / registered on the update service and to work alongside Children.
- Must have over 2 years of recent experience within a school setting or within an alternate provision, working with severe challenging behaviour/ SEMH. This may include young adults, Offenders and Re-offenders.
- Must have a very clear and up to date understanding of the UK primary curriculum as education is a big part of the role.
- MUST hold a Team Teach training certificate dated within the last year. Can you make this clear on your CV please.
If you feel that you would be perfect for the role, then get in touch with Owen Phillips on: 0121 6334698 for more information. If you do not hit the criteria, please do not apply, as only practitioners with those standards from the school will be accepted.
