Have you got experience within the last year working with students with physical disabilities? Have you been trained and are up to date with the world of manual handling within Education?

I am currently working with a fantastic school in Sandwell who are seeking LSA's to join their brilliant team. The position is to start immediately, however you MUST have completed Manual Handling training (relating to hoisting and lifting) within the last year. Every candidate is also required to have been working within Special Needs/ Care sector for over 2 years.

You will be working within a group of 3-5 support assistants within the classroom. You are required to have been working to some capacity with mild - severe learning difficulties, as Education will still be taking place.

In your role, you will be assisting the students around the centre as they are all wheelchair bound. As mentioned previously; you must:

  • Hold an NVQ Level 3 Minimum
  • Been working within SEN or Care in the past 2 years
  • Hold a manual handling training certificate dated within the last year (ROSPA is ideal)
  • Had experience with Mild and Complex Learning Disabilities

This position is starting immediately, 5 days a week with the potential to go perm. This role will run until July. Succesful candidates may be asked to apply permanently.
