Intervention Teacher vacancy - Derby, Derbyshire

Start Date - 4th November 2019

Duration - 8 months on a temporary-basis until July 2019, with a strong likelihood to go permanent thereafter

Celsian Education is working closely with a Primary School in Central Derby, who is looking for an Intervention Teacher to strengthen pupils' learning across KS1 and KS2. The school requires the successful person who secures this role, to have extensive curriculum knowledge and experience in a similar role. The majority of the role is to work with Year 6 in preparation for SATs, focusing on targeted pupils to help raise attainment in Literacy and Numeracy - It is essential for our partner school recruits a Teacher with experience of teaching Year 6, and someone who has an in-depth knowledge of the new Year 6 curriculum.

This role is to start in January 2019, until the end of the academic year. This role will be on a full time basis.

As a Primary Intervention Teacher you will need to be flexible, and able to easily adapt to teaching across different classes throughout the day. Working closely with other Teachers and Senior Leaders you will be responsible for driving forward academic standards, and improving attainment across the school.

Our partner school's overall effectiveness is good and has a strong trend of improvement. The school has a strong driving force from the Headteacher and senior leadership team. Pupils and staff value highly the care and support they receive for one another, and this contributes significantly to pupils' knowledge and understanding of school life.

To be considered for interview selection for this substantial Intervention Teacher role, candidates must have the following:

* Experience of teaching across Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2

* Proven experience of raising attainment in Year 6

* Primary trained with QTS

* Be able to commit to up to 5 days per week on a long term basis

* Be able to mark according to school policies

* Be able to plan and deliver inspiring lessons, to motivate learning across the classroom.
