Learning Mentor l Behaviour Support

Celsian education are working with a SEND Trust in the Bolton area who are looking for a number of Learning Mentors to support young people with behaviour issues.

Are you passionate about working with young people with additional needs? Can you help support them on a 1-2-1 basis to raise attainment?

The role will be working with 11-16 year old's at a Pupil referral unit in the Bolton area. The PRU is committed to providing education for young people and ensuring the best start for their young people.

The role will require working on a one-two-one basis or small groups with pupils with SEMH, you will work with the young person to help raise their attainment with a particular focus on improving their behaviour.

This position is specifically for a candidate that has experience dealing with pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health challenges that lead to challenging behaviour.

To be successful in the role -

  • Experience working with SEMH pupils
  • Ideally Team Teach trained
  • Beneficial to have worked as one-two-one teaching assistant
