Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Level Two/Three Nursery Nurse to work across a number of school and nurseries across the Walsall areas.

We are seeking a friendly and caring Nursery Nurse/Assistant to join our fantastic team of friendly nursery professionals to work in and around the Walsall areas.

You will be someone who recognises that all children are unique and that is passionate about delivering high quality care to children.

You will have a sound understanding the Early Years Foundation Stage, and the observation assessment cycle.

You will be committed to and aware of the importance of working in partnership with parents to ensure that every child's individual needs are met.

You will have an approach which provides all the children in your care with the opportunity to increase their confidence and utilise their environment as best as possible.

It is essential that you have a child centered approach with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Working Hours

Covering staff sickness and holidays across a number of nurseries in Walsall. We have from one day's work to 5 days per week. We can be very flexible

Responsibilities and Duties

Some of your responsibilities as a Nursery Nurse/Assistant will include:

  • To ensure the children are cared for in a happy, safe and stimulating environment
  • To plan, prepare and review the curriculum with the team in your room reflective of the EYFS
  • To work in partnership with the parents
  • To follow all the policies and procedures set out by the nursery
  • To work as part of a team

To work alongside and liaise with the room leader, deputy and nursery manager

Qualifications and Skills

You will need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:

  • Qualified to NVQ Childcare Level 2/3 or equivalent minimum
  • Have experience of working with children between the ages of 0 to 5 years
  • Have nursery experience
