Specialist Behaviour Mentor | Leicestershire

Celsian Education is looking for Specialist Behaviour Mentors to work in SEN and Mainstream Schools across Leicestershire.

Due to increased numbers of pupil exclusions on a national basis, schools are now requiring more Behaviour Mentors to support pupils with additional behavioural needs.

  • Are you passionate about helping support behaviour to raise attainment for young people?
  • Are you passionate about making a difference to young people's lives?

The role of a Behaviour Mentor will require you to work in small groups, and on a 1:1 basis with SEMH pupils. You will promote positive behaviour and ensure that the pupils you with have access to learning, whilst also being involved in raising attainment.

This position is specifically for a people who have experience dealing with pupils - Mainstream or SEND setting - who have additional needs that lead to challenging behaviour.

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • Experience working with SEMH pupils
  • An understanding of behaviour management
  • A relevant SEN qualification
  • Past experience as a one-to-one TA/LSA
